Clarification: by “new” I mean you just got it. It can be an old or used car : )

1. Jumper cables (and maybe a battery)

You never know when you need it. You can always get a battery so you don’t depend on others, and can even be the hero without risking your car.

2. Waters

People get thirsty. Make your guests (or yourself) comfortable. Especially for hot days or with food (if you allow it). Keep emergency waters in non-plastic bottles in the trunk so after years of heat the plastic doesn’t degrade into the water.

3. Phone chargers

Again, make guests (and yourself) comfortable. You can get a cigarette lighter to 2 usb adapter, and you can get 3 in 1 usb cables for micro usb, usb c, and lightning.

4. Phone holder

For your portable GPS music phone call machine, if you don’t have one of those big screens built in anyway.

5. Sunglasses

Being able to see while driving is good.

6. Umbrella

For rainy days. Maybe put two in there.

7. Aux cord

For sick beats.

8. Backup cam (if it doesn’t already have one)

For not getting into even more trouble

9. Dash cam

For peace of mind (and insurance, and maybe even YouTube)

10. Copies of your insurance

You very well may want it. Consider adding a paper and pen in your glove compartment too.

Bonus: shade cover, roof rack, license plate frame, decals.
